- How to contact us
1. Who this policy covers
NMG Career Partners ("we", "us", "our") provides career research, strategy, professional positioning and ongoing career support services in the United States, specializing in accounting and finance careers. This policy applies to information we collect through our website, through our Career Future Assessment form, through our advertising, and in the course of providing our services. In this policy, "you" means anyone who visits our website, submits an assessment, contacts us, or engages us.
2. Information we collect
Career Future Assessment submissions
When you complete the assessment you provide: your first name and last name; your email address; your current job title; your area of accounting; your years of accounting experience; your highest qualification or credential; your current salary range; what you want from your next career move; your location; your preferred working arrangement; your experience with AI and automation; whether you would complete additional training; and anything else you choose to tell us in the optional notes field.
Employment information, if you engage us
If you enter into a partnership, we collect the further detail needed to carry out the work: your employment history and achievements, your resume and professional profiles, details of applications and interviews arising from the work we carry out, and any offers of employment you receive. We also hold the Monthly Career Progress Reports we prepare for you.
Contact records
Records of your emails, calls and messages with us, including a telephone number where you give us one, and notes made by our specialists in the course of the work.
Site analytics and technical information
Standard technical information when you visit the site, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, the pages you view and the dates and times of your visits.
Advertising identifiers
Where you reach our site through an advertisement, we may receive and store advertising identifiers and campaign parameters, including Meta click identifiers (fbclid), identifiers set by the Meta Pixel, and UTM parameters such as source, medium, campaign, content and term.
We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, bank account details or payment card numbers through our website. Where a payment is taken, it is processed by a third-party payment processor and we do not store full card details.
3. How we use your information
- To review your Career Future Assessment. Your submission is reviewed by a specialist, who considers it alongside research into your area of the accounting profession and prepares a view of where you currently stand and where we may be able to help.
- To contact you about our services. To deliver that review, answer your questions and explain what a partnership would involve.
- To carry out the work you engage us for. To research your market, build your career strategy and positioning, identify opportunities, prepare your Monthly Career Progress Reports and, with your authorization, present you to employers and recruiters.
- To administer our relationship with you. Including agreements, payment, record-keeping and reporting.
- To improve our marketing and our website. To measure advertising performance and understand which pages and campaigns are effective.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations. Including tax and accounting records, and responding to lawful requests.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Your assessment is reviewed by a person.
4. Consent and our basis for processing
We collect the information in your assessment because you choose to submit it in order to receive a review of your situation. By submitting the form and ticking the consent box, you consent to us contacting you about that assessment and about our services.
Where we go on to provide services to you, we process your information because it is necessary to perform the agreement between us. We also process a limited amount of information for our legitimate business interests — improving our services and marketing, keeping proper records and preventing misuse of our site — and to comply with legal obligations. Consent to marketing can be withdrawn at any time, as described in section 13.
6. We do not sell your information
NMG Career Partners does not sell personal information, and does not rent, trade or otherwise make your information available to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
7. How long we keep information
- Assessment submissions that do not proceed to a partnership are retained for up to twenty-four months and then deleted or anonymized.
- Client records are retained for the duration of the partnership and for up to seven years afterwards, to meet contractual, tax and accounting obligations.
- Marketing contact records are retained until you opt out, after which we keep a minimal suppression record so we do not contact you again in error.
- Website analytics and advertising data are retained according to the settings of the platforms concerned, typically no more than twenty-six months.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See section 9.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration, including encrypted transmission of data submitted through our website, access controls, contractual protections with our service providers and periodic review of our systems.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and any relevant authority as required by applicable law.
9. Your privacy rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you can ask us to do the following, and we will honor the request unless we are legally required to keep the information.
- Access. Ask what personal information we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
- Correction. Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your personal information.
- Opt out of marketing. Ask us to stop sending you marketing communications.
- Withdraw an authorization. Tell us to stop presenting your profile to employers or recruiters.
To make a request, contact us using the details in section 15. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
10. California Consumer Privacy Act
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the following rights.
- Right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources it came from, our business purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to the exceptions permitted by law.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in a manner requiring an opt-out mechanism. We have not sold personal information in the preceding twelve months.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect or use sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA for purposes requiring a limitation right.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any privacy right.
The categories collected in the preceding twelve months are identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address), professional and employment-related information, commercial information relating to services purchased or considered, and internet activity information. You may make a request by emailing info@nmgcareerpartners.com.
11. Children's information
Our services are directed at adults pursuing a professional career. They are not directed at anyone under eighteen years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a person under eighteen, we will delete it.
12. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, in three groups.
- Essential cookies that allow the site and its forms to function.
- Analytics cookies that tell us, in aggregate, which pages are visited and how people move through the site.
- Advertising cookies and pixels, including the Meta Pixel, which records when a visitor arrives from one of our advertisements and when they complete an action such as submitting an assessment. Meta processes that information under its own privacy policy.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
13. Marketing communications
If you submit an assessment or enquiry, we may contact you by email or telephone about it and about our services. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by telling the specialist you speak to, or by emailing info@nmgcareerpartners.com with "unsubscribe" in the subject line. Opting out of marketing does not affect communications necessary to run a partnership you have engaged us for.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information we already hold about you, we will tell you directly.
