How It Works • 24-Month Partnerships
Six stages. Then it keeps going.
We position accountants for success in the AI revolution, and keep delivering value every month for 24 months.
The stages below stay the same for every client. What changes is the research behind them — an audit senior in public practice, a management accountant in industry and a partner approaching succession are each looking at a different market.
01 — UNDERSTAND
Where you are today
We look at your credentials, experience, current role and ambitions the way a hiring partner or finance director would read them, rather than as your job title describes them. Two questions sit underneath it: where you stand now, and how far you could realistically move from there.
02 — RESEARCH
Where accounting is heading
Accounting is not being reshaped evenly. Compliance and preparation work is automating faster than advisory, audit faster than tax in some markets, and adoption differs sharply between a Big Four office and a thirty-person firm. So we research your specific corner of it — hiring trends, roles in growing demand, the skills employers are currently asking for, salary levels, and how quickly the tooling is actually being adopted where you work.
03 — STRATEGIZE
A personalized career strategy
The research is turned into a written strategy: which directions may be worth pursuing from where you stand, which gaps exist, and what we are going to do about them. The usual move is not away from accounting. It is combining the technical knowledge you already hold with the capabilities employers are starting to pay more for — advisory work, systems and data fluency, business partnering.
04 — POSITION
Presented properly
We rebuild your resume and professional profile around the direction identified. A large part of this is repositioning experience you already have. Accountants routinely undersell themselves here — a resume that lists the closes you ran reads very differently from one that shows what you found, changed or saved by running them.
05 — IDENTIFY
Opportunities found for you
We research accounting firms, finance teams, vacancies, emerging positions and career pathways, then bring you what we believe is worth considering along with the reasoning. The result is a researched shortlist rather than a job board.
At Career Positioning this stage is handed to you as a strategy you run yourself. At Career Campaign and Career Partner we run it for you.
06 — SUPPORT
When you choose to move
We support the application, carry out employer outreach where you have authorized it, follow up professionally and prepare you for interviews. Nothing is sent to a named employer without your approval, and your current firm or employer is never approached. Accounting is a smaller world than it looks, so discretion is treated as a requirement rather than a courtesy.
Direct outreach, application assistance, follow-ups and interview preparation are performed by us at Career Partner.
Your Level Decides Stages 05 and 06
Every partnership runs 24 months and every partnership covers all six stages. What your level changes is how much of Identify and Support we perform for you, rather than hand over as strategy.

07 — Continue
The strategy is the beginning, not the end.
Once the strategy and positioning work is done, the partnership carries on. For the rest of the 24 months we keep researching the accounting market, keep identifying opportunities, support the ones you choose to pursue, and report on all of it every month. Twenty-four months also means we are still with you through two full busy seasons, which is when most accountants actually reassess where they are.
We research. We identify. We recommend. We report. You decide.
Every Month
Your Monthly Career Progress Report.
All 24 months you receive a written report covering the work completed, what we have found in your market, where your career strategy stands and what we recommend next. You also hear from us during the month whenever something deserves your attention.
The identification or presentation of an opportunity does not constitute a job offer or guarantee of employment. Employment, interviews, compensation and other outcomes depend on individual circumstances, employer decisions and market conditions.
It starts with understanding where you stand in the profession.
